DANCE SCHOOL FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
"Whether you are a student that has danced before, or perhaps someone that has always wanted to give dance a try, our unique
'Adults Dance School' is ready to welcome you!"

JAMES CUNLIFFE
The school Founder, James, always had a wish to try Ballet, but despite this, his career took him in a different direction.

At aged 30, James had undergone no dance training whatsoever, but he eventually decided to begin his Ballet journey.

James began his training around his full time job, attending multiple schools in London, including the Royal Academy of Dance Headquarters.

By age 32, James had completed his Vocational Ballet examinations and training with the Royal Academy of Dance in London, and soon after he opened the Worlds First Boys Ballet School.
The school became well known within the dance industry and was awarded the 'Dance School of the Year' award for the UK.

During the Covid pandemic, James continued to innovate and launched a Global dance platform delivering online sessions to over 300 students in 37 different countries.

James quickly became well connected with many dance professionals and well known performers who recognised what he had achieved.

Sir Matthew Bourne, Steven McRae (Royal Ballet), Federico Bonnelli (Royal Ballet), Brandon Lawrence (Birmingham Royal Ballet), Vanessea Fenton (Royal Ballet), Sergio Polunin (Royal Ballet), Layton WIlliams, Mathew Croke etc. have all delivered classes / worshops in James' dance Schools.
Wayne Sleep OBE and Steven McRae, (Principal Dancer Royal Ballet), soon became James' school patrons!
James' unique dance projects also became a real hit in the national media, having been featured in many local news outlets as well as the BBC, Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Dancing Times, Independant, CBBC, Newsround, The Stage, Classic FM and the Evening Standard.

James later opened the London Ballet School based in Islington before making the decision to return to his home town of Swansea.
From 2012 to 2025, James was the owner and DIrector of Swansea Ballet School, a well established school for childrens dance training in South Wales.

As James looks back at his own unique journey, he recognised the passion for dance that so many adults have, and he wanted to start a new project, focussing on an array of dance training for adult students of all ages.
