South Wales Welcomes Its First Ever Adult-Focused Dance School!

Adults Dance School (ADS) opens with a bold mission: to make quality dance training accessible to adults of all ages and backgrounds — from beginners to experienced dancers.

A ground-breaking new dance school has launched in South Wales, designed exclusively for adult learners. Adults Dance School (ADS) is the first of its kind in the region, offering structured, high-quality dance training specifically tailored for adults — whether they are discovering dance for the first time or returning to it after years away.

Currently home to 50 students and growing rapidly, ADS provides expert instruction across a wide range of styles, including ballet, contemporary, Tap, Contemporary and more.

The school welcomes complete beginners, recreational dancers, and those with prior training who are seeking to refine their technique or reconnect with their passion for dance.

Founded by James Cunliffe, a respected figure in innovative dance education & schools, ADS was created to fill a longstanding gap in the performing arts world.

“Adults are often forgotten in the world of dance education,” says James Cunliffe. “Whether someone danced as a child, trained professionally, or is trying it for the first time, ADS offers a space where they can learn, grow, and express themselves without pressure or judgment. We believe dance should be for everyone — and that includes adults at every stage.”

ADS plans to expand its reach in the coming months to make adult dance training even more widely available across the UK, with new classes, workshops, and community events on the horizon.
